In 2019 I did my internship at De Monsterkamer (Sample Room) in Amsterdam, a physical & digital platform that gives advice to anyone who wants to produce something in print. Naturally, for my physical internship report I used different papers, that I ordered through the database of De Monsterkamer
Homecomings are a series of events for the 1st year students of the KABK that started during the introduction days. The goal of the events is to get 1st year students to meet each-other and offer them a space to think together how they will root themselves within the academy in the upcoming years.
With sustainability, readability, a diverse audience and a small budget in mind, Mahtab Zamanifar and I created the second issue of the anew, a magazine publication of the Master Industrial Design at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK).
The final design is bright, colorful, playful and most importantly produced with only leftover paper from Lenoirschuring’s printer (so no new paper was harmed in the making of this magazine).
The graduates selection is designed as a separate booklet, so it can be taken out by visitors of the graduation show.
Surfing Safari is a desktop documentary that takes the viewer on a journey through Apple's operating systems between 2013 and 2018.
We‘re exploring the digital native’s landscape by travelling through beautiful scenery and breathtaking features while trying to find out why Apple uses elements of nature in their operating system and what effect these elements have on the user’s experience.

This weird and closed conversation between a daughter and a mother comes from Maartje Laterveer’s book ‘Vrouwen en Seks’ (Women and Sex). I created an object by hand from this (first) sentence . Then I took a photograph of my object which I turned into an A2 poster.
After a wonderful roundtrip in Iran, me and my fellow students presented a guilt-free renaissance in which tendrils creep, petals unfurl and geometric patterns abound. We honored our heroes in this immersive exploration of the grid.
My piece of the wall is dedicated to Kathleen Hannah, one of the co-founders of Riot grrrl, a punk and feminist movement from the 90s.
Although I am very happy about companies and media outlets addressing social issues related to ‘real women’, ‘real beauty’ and ‘being honest’, I also feel there should be a difference between breaking taboos like menstruation, cellulite and curves and using (or misusing) these taboos to sell your product, which inspired me to create these linocut prints on japanese paper.
The Homefront is an essay on equality and its representation in 1968. Our main sources were Martha Rosler’s series ‘House Beautiful: Bringing the War Home’, Gui Debord’s ‘The Society of spectacle’, Marshall Mcluhan’s ‘The Medium is the massage’ and Susan Sontag’s ‘Image world’. All of which are included in the design of our publication.

During the International Week of the Deaf (IWD), several professionals visit middle schools to tell the children about what it is like to be deaf.
To explain to middle schoolers some basic rules on how to communicate with deaf people, I created several pieces of communication displaying easy tips on how to communicate with a hearing impaired person.
